Arrivals vs. Headcount: Key Differences
While they share similarities—specifically, the New Hires by Month graph—the Arrivals dashboard differs from the Headcount dashboard in a few key areas:
-
The Headcount dashboard displays data from a specific point-in-time, while the Arrivals dashboard displays data from customizable date ranges.
-
The Arrivals dashboard will display all employees (including terminated) by their hire month, even if they are no longer part of the active headcount.
-
Filters in the Arrivals dashboard display data as it exists today, while the Headcount dashboard’s filters by the point in time selected.
-
For example, if a company reorganizes and employees are assigned to new departments, the Arrivals data table will only display the new department information. The Headcount data table will display the department the employee was assigned at the point in time selected.
